Winners of the ‘Best Kept Garden’ Award

This year we were the proud winners of the ‘Queen Elizabeth Cup’ for the Best Kept Garden.  We opened up in celebration of the achievements our gardens to many visitors including members from the London Children’s Flower Society, the Mayor of Greenwich and Deputy Lieutenant Colonel Cyril Young stood in for Their Royal Highnesses the Count and countess of  Wessex.  The weather proved to be on the tormenting side, and all our displays were hurriedly moved in side, but all visitors still managed to see the hard work of the Charlton School Gardening Club and had a wonderful afternoon.

Some of the members of the Gardening Club were presented with the Cup by Alan Titchmarsh.

The students at Royal Hill are keeping up the trend by receiving a Gold Award for their daffodils this year.
