Panathlon Challenge - Olympic Stadium Opening

Four students were among some of the first to compete in the Olympic Stadium on Sunday 1st April. The students represented the Greenwich borough and the Panathlon Challenge to run in a relay over 100 meters. They also took part in a parade around the Stadium to the cheers of around 25,000 spectators which included lots of staff and parent support from School.


BBC School News Report Day - Olympic Site

Well done to Harry and Roderick, who along with representatives from 32 other schools in the UK took part in a Press Conference with Lord Sebastain Coe at the Olympic Site. Harry asked Lord Coe “What will the legacy for disabled children in the Olympic Borough of Greenwich be?” you can hear his response here…

Parts of the day went out live on the BBC One News and on the BBC School News Channel. Roderick did extremely well as he took part in a live broadcast from the balcony of the BBC flat overlooking the park with Sonali Shah from News Round.


The Mayor and Lady Mayoress open Library

Friday the 16th March saw the opening of our new Library. In order to celebrate the occasion staff and students dressed as their favourite book character for the day and several students either read a poem or talked about their favourite book. The Mayor was greatly impressed by these students and has promised to invite them to his parlour sometime.
