MOVE Assembly – Celebrating Achievements

On Thursday 5th March Kathryn Blair (former Prime Minister’s daughter) presented the school with a special award and MOVE students with individual certificates. The School award was for our event held at the O2 Dome on 7th November 2008 when students passed on an Olympic torch to the cheers of their peers and the public using their mobility equipment and practising their skills from the MOVE programme. The MOVE Young Person Ambassador Kathryn Blair presented the school with a prize of £500 to spend on MOVE equipment. The whole school was present to share in celebrating the fantastic achievements of our students with physical difficulties in the MOVE programme. Well Done.

Colin’s Achievements

Colin is really enjoying the work he is doing down at Acres Way Kennels. Colin has a special talent when working with these dogs. He shows lots of care towards the dogs  and works hard while he is there. Some of Colin’s duties are: walking, feeding and mucking out the kennels. He stays focused on his duties whilst at Acres Way and has made new friends as well. Colin has said that he would like to work with animals when he leaves school.
