Charlton School student in the school swimming pool The past year has seen Charlton School continue to be supported by external organisations.

Barclays Capital, as well as organising the visit of Arctic adventurer Tom Avery, have continued to financially support the school by funding after school clubs. Student visits have also been arranged to their offices in Canary Wharf and the company is busy fundraising this year for a people carrier for the school.

Thanks must also go to ASDA, the Big Lottery and Indoor Garden Design who have all contributed to the success of the Sensory Garden.

In community terms, relationships continue to grow with Charlton Toy Library and the Greenwich Disability Resource Centre, with the intention of undertaking collaborative projects in the coming year. With the Extended Schools becoming more embedded, such projects are likely to be the first of many.
