Home Access Programme –
Free Computer and Internet access for a year for low-income families
The government has released a programme to ensure more children have access to technology at home to support learning. Parents will apply to a central body for a home access grant and, if eligible, use their grant to buy a compliant package consisting of a computer, internet access, service and support from an approved supplier. Looked after children will also be catered for under this programme. Those children who require assisted technology will also be catered for under a special package. Charlton School is committed to ensuring all our families who qualify take up this opportunity. We will keep you informed and if required will help you with the application.
Details on how to apply are coming soon, watch out for TV ads and we will inform you as soon as applications become available.
Charlton School Radio Team - EAR EYE AM FM

Live broadcast Thursday 27th August 2009 4 - 5pm on Fresh FM 106.8 FM tune in to hear all about their radio stars project and their end of year trip to Paris! The students have been working with Fresh FM a local youth radio station to be part of their live station during this week in August.

Charlton School is a Group 7 Community Special (ages 11–19) School for students with low incidence special educational needs. This is the school's main Blog.
Use this area of the site to find out what the pupils have been up to. This includes updates across the curriculum as well as school trips, visitors and awards.
Students
This area of the site is for students and young people. StudentZone is an accessible part of the site where you can listen to the students' radio pod casts, play games and find out the favourite websites of our students.

Boarding Unit
Charlton School has a boarding unit on site which runs from Monday to Friday during term time. Up to eight students can stay over night and currently 9 students use the unit over the week.
